Disneyland in Hong Kong is a huge theme park with a lot of activities to do. The entire park is divided into seven different themed areas. Main Street, USA, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, Adventureland, Grizzly Gulch, Mystic Point, and Toy Story Land. The park can accommodate as many as 34,000 visitors at once, and people from different parts of the world arrive in Hong Kong to visit the park. However, it still is the smallest in terms of capacity compared to other Disneylands across the world.

The park authorities expected nearly 5.6 million visitors in its first year, but the park could attract just 5.2 million visitors. The visitors count dropped significantly in the next few years. However, the visitors count increased eventually in the coming years. More than 25 million visitors from across the world have visited the theme park until now. It was the 13th most visited theme park in the world in 2013.

Covering nearly 27.5 hectares, Hong Kong Disneyland now hosts somewhere between 6 million to 7 million visitors annually. The theme park authorities plan to expand the park’s capacity to host up to 10 million visitors every year.

You can take the Disneyland Resort Line on the MTR to reach the theme park. It is a themed shuttle train service between the Disneyland Resort Station and Sunny Bay station.

Another way is to travel via bus. There are 3 regular routes to the Disneyland Resort Public Transport Interchange. These routes are organized by Long Win Bus.

Disneyland in Hong Kong currently faces overcrowding, and it can get tough to find a spot during the peak season. If you want to eat something inside the park, the wait time can go from 30 minutes to 45 minutes. There are long lines outside the eateries in the theme park, and visitors have been raising the issue for a very long time now.

The ambassador of the theme park is Kay Tse On-kay. She is a Hong Kong-based Cantopop singer and a popular figure in the city. Despite a lot of issues that the park faces, it is a key spot for entertainment. HKDL features a daytime parade, “Flights of Fantasy,” and a nighttime parade, “Paint the Night.” Another entertaining event is the “We Love Mickey” Projection Show that premiered in March 2018. It replaced the “Disney in the Stars” firework, which ended because of the castle transformation. “We Love Mickey” lasts 15 minutes.
