In India, samosas are the most popular snack. However, Somalia has outlawed this delicious treat since 2011 because they claim the triangular shape of the snack represents Christianity to the “Al-Shabaab group.”
Kebab

Whether it’s a vegetarian or non-vegetarian kebab, it always wins our hearts. However, did you know that Venice has outlawed this delicious treat? In 2017, the city enacted a ban on kebab shops with the intention of “preserving the city’s decorum and traditions.”
Chawanprash
For centuries, people in India have been consuming Chyawanprash. However, reports state that because of its high lead and mercury content, it was outlawed in Canada in 2005.

Poppy Seeds

In Bengal, in particular, it is regarded as one of the most exotic spices in India. However, because the seed contains morphine, it is prohibited in Taiwan and Singapore. According to reports, Singapore’s Central Narcotics Bureau views it as “prohibited goods.” The UAE and Saudi Arabia have similar bans. It is purportedly unlawful to cultivate poppies in Russia, but not to sell them.
