Now that the internet and digital media are so prevalent, we always have our smartphones with us, even in the restrooms.
Many people struggle to overcome the habit of being constantly connected to the outside world so they don’t miss anything important.
A trade-in gadget firm called Bank My Cell did a survey, and 96% of young people said that they never even enter the restroom without their phones.
It is critical to be aware that using a cell phone while using the restroom could have negative and potentially dangerous effects on your health.
Why is using a cell phone in the restroom dangerous?
Studies have shown that the bathroom is one of the worst places to use a phone since the germs from the toilet go everywhere when you flush. Furthermore, because the majority of people do not view their phones as being unclean, they do not clean them.
Research by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine found that approximately 92% of phones were contaminated with potentially harmful bacteria such E coli, Salmonella, and C difficile.

E. coli, a form of bacteria found in feces that sickens more than a million people worldwide each year, was discovered in 16% of the samples that researchers collected from 12 cities throughout the UK’s over 300 samples.
Additionally, according to medical professionals, using your phone while using the restroom can put pressure on your ears and rectum, increasing your risk of hemorrhoids, piles of rectal difficulties, and other serious gastrointestinal disorders.
It may also cause blood vessels in the rectal area to expand, which can lead to UTIs, diarrhea, and other intestinal conditions.
