Siliserh Lake, a lesser-known lake in Rajasthan that resembles a heavenly body of water and is partially inhabited by crocodiles, has not been destroyed by human efforts to commercialize it.
A wonderful location to arrange your stay is the heritage hotel that has been transformed. The 12 guest rooms of Siliserh Lake Palace, which are separated into luxury suites, air-conditioned rooms, and non-air-conditioned rooms, all come with opulent amenities. Each visitor’s needs are met by the facilities that are provided in the rooms. The Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation’s official website lists the prices for each accommodation as well as its availability.
The lake has a 7 km2 size and is located 13 km from Alwar. This lake was built in 1845 at the request of a specific king to offer water to the households in Alwar. The lake features a palace bearing its name that was built at the king’s request for his ladylove, presumably his wife.
Before or after seeing the stunning Siliserh Lake, tourists frequently visit the Neemrana Palace, Sariska National Park, and Jai Samand Lake.
The distance from the city of Alwar to the lake is between 30 and 40 minutes. The entrance cost to the lake location is INR 100. As a tourist destination, a boat trip is also offered to visitors. For INR 800, a standard 30-minute motorboat cruise for six people is available.
Why Siliserh Lake?
Undoubtedly, taking a boat trip is among the greatest ways to appreciate this large lake. However, bird watchers are encouraged to bring their cameras so they may record the views of migratory birds and other forms of avian life. Generally speaking, the lake location is windy, and the water is crystal clean. A picnic on a nice day out is made possible by the Aravalli Hills’ presence in the lake’s background. In some places of the lake, there are also crocodiles, thus the boatmen make cautious to avoid taking people through such areas.
At the lake’s location, there is a restaurant that serves simple Rajasthani food. The palace is also worth a visit. From Delhi, it takes only around three and a half hours to go to Siliserh Lake.
