Actress Alia Bhatt has a chic sense of dressing, as shown on her social media! She certainly understands how to turn attention with her wardrobe choices, whether they are simple ethnic attire or dressy modern styles. Alia Bhatt serves summer fashion inspiration as she slays light hues.
Alia Bhatt was as lovely as a flower while wearing an ivory ball gown that was hand-beaded in Mumbai with 100,000 pearls. Ivory is a soothing summer shade and the actress always slays in that look.
You thought being in a high fashion meant having a bloodless smile on your face, smoothing back every hair, and having the appearance of having just left a Siberian labor camp, didn’t you? You’re mistaken! All those norms for the Met Gala red carpet were destroyed by Alia.
At the event hosted on Monday night at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, she undoubtedly caught everyone’s attention.
The gala this year honored the late iconic German fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, who passed away in 2019 at the age of 85.
Alia’s white gown was inspired by Karl Lagerfeld’s 1992 bridal design for Chanel, which Claudia Schiffer modeled.
Prabal Gurung designed the ivory silk tulle along with satin face organza spectacular basque waist ball gown with hand-beaded pearls. Don’t overlook her hand glove, a tribute to Karl Lagerfeld. She was also wearing pearl-encrusted heels.
Alia’s debut Met Gala design featured 100,000 white pearls and an homage to two pristine white pet cats – her own Edward & Karl Lagerfeld’s Choupette.
No detail is too minor when it comes to creating an iconic and unforgettable red carpet look. This is demonstrated by the dewy, fresh makeup, delicate smokey eye shadow, kohl-lined eyelids, bare lips, a pearl bow hair accessory tying together a romantic half-up, half-down haircut, and the flawless pearly manicure.
Even with the elaborate embellishments that were sewn on it, the dress appeared light. White, being the ideal summer color to wear, provided a breath-taking moment against her honey-colored complexion for every look that was drawn to her cloud-like presence.
‘A girl can never have too many pearls,’ Alia remarked. adding the perfect accessories to complete the appearance, which in our instance meant a pearl bow on my hair. Oh, and it’s white since my Choup-ED (her cat Edward) is white.’
Anaita Shroff Adajania, a fashion designer, created Alia’s outfit for the event. But she thought it was the proper moment this time, so she responded positively.
To honor Anaita’s ancestry (100,000 pearls had been hand embroidered in Mumbai), my love for Karl, and the fact that everything was manufactured in New York, Shroff said, we then employed our greatest ideas to create a tribute to Karl.
‘She’s a strong performer,’ Prabal gushed about his pal Alia. She is, in my opinion, one of the best performers working today, but what really sets her apart is that she is a friend first—a wonderful friend and a loyal one.
With its magnificent scooped neck (front and back), pearl-encrusted bodice, and voluminous train skirt, this princess-bride gown is one of our favorites!
