The spectacular waterfall that forms these falls is the result of an unusual confluence of streams. The area below the confinement is completely secure and is no less than a premier waterpark. A modest shrine to Lord Shiva is located at the entrance to this place and is widely adored by the locals.

Kanyakumari Beach

At the meeting of three bodies of water—the Bay of Bengal, the Indian Ocean, and the Arabian Sea—Kanyakumari Beach, in the far south of India, is known for its stunning beaches that change colour with the light. Due to the stony shore and choppy sea, the beach is not suitable for swimming or surfing. You can visit Triveni Sangam Point and ascend the renowned lighthouse watchtower to get the best perspective and appreciate how beautiful it is.

Vivekananda Memorial Rock

A little island off the coast of Kanyakumari is home to the spectacular Vivekananda Rock Memorial. Its background features the lovely Indian Ocean. This structure, which consists of the “Shripada Mandapam” and the “Vivekananda Mandapam,” is located on one of the two nearby rocks that protrude out into the Lakshadweep Sea. Regular boats may take passengers to the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, which is situated in Kanyakumari about 500 metres to the east of the Vavathurai mainland.

On the island near Vavathurai where Vivekananda acquired enlightenment, this statue was erected in the year 1970. There is a study hall and a museum within the Shripada Mandapam where you may learn more about Vivekananda’s life and contributions.

Sthanumalayan Kovil, or the Thanumalayan Temple

The sacred temple known as Thanumalay Temple also referred to as Sthanumalayan Kovil, is located in Suchindram and is devoted to the Trimuthis (Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva). With inscriptions from the ninth century, the stunning temple underwent renovation in the seventeenth century.

This stunning temple has outstanding architectural magnificence. The four melodic pillars, which were cut out of a single stone and set in the Malankara mandapam region, are one of this temple’s most notable features. When tapped with a thumb, these musical pillars produce a range of musical sounds. The Sthanumalayan Perumal Temple’s representation of both the Shaivite and Vaishnavite schools of Hinduism is another notable feature. One of the top attractions in Kanyakumari is the Padmanabhapuram Palace, which boasts beautiful architecture. Best Time to Visit Kanyakumari

Kanyakumari experiences a tropical climate as a result of its position. While monsoons can become extremely humid, summers can become unusually hot and sunny. Because of this, the winter months, when the temperature is cool and pleasant, are the perfect time to visit Kanyakumari. From November to March, the city sees the most visitors.
