Before 1947, India was ruled by kings, Maharajas, Nawabs, and Sultans. They demonstrated their strength and engineering work in the realm of civil engineering by constructing a huge number of Havelis for their ministers, royal ladies and court members, wealthy merchants, and others to dwell in so that they might have a regal feel while living in these Havelis.

Because of their great inventiveness and craftsmanship at the time, these Havelis had become one of the most appealing tourist sites not only for history buffs but also for photo aficionados. If you want to see the most beautiful Havelis in India, here are the top ten.
