According to some historians, Machu Picchu was constructed or built at the height of the Inca empire. The empire had its peak in the 15th and 16th centuries when it dominated western America. The place Machu Picchu is made up of more than 150 buildings. These buildings include baths, houses, temples, and sanctuaries. According to the beliefs of some archaeologists, the place Machu Picchu was a royal estate at the time of Inca nobles and emperors.
