An amazing group of more than 380 guests attended President Biden and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s state dinner on Thursday night.
Government dignitaries, corporate executives, fashion designers, and well-known Indian Americans were among the guests on the guest list. Other distinguished attendees include National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra, and Foreign Minister S Jaishankar, who are all representing the Indian government. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, US Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and US Envoy to India Eric Garcetti are among the prominent Americans there.
US Congressmen of Indian descent Ro Khanna and Raja Krishnamoorthi, Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath, and renowned fashion designer Ralph Lauren also attend the event. US First Lady Jill Biden worked with the White House cooks and guest chef Nina Curtis to create a delicious menu for the State Dinner, adding a touch of culinary brilliance.
Elegant dinner place settings with magnificent gold and white plates, cutlery, and exquisitely placed pink flowers were used to decorate the occasion. The warm glow of lit candles and the suspense created by empty wine glasses placed on a sleek black tablecloth while presenting the dinner menu meticulously selected added to the ambiance.

On the menu for the 400 guests invited to the State dinner being served for Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the South Lawn of the White House on Thursday are stuffed mushrooms, corn kernel salad, and marinated millet. On Wednesday, First Lady Jill Biden said that she had commissioned Chef Nina Curtis, a plant-based cuisine expert, to collaborate with the White House staff and design a spectacular vegetarian lunch for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a fervent vegetarian.
The First Lady announced that more than 400 people had been invited to the dinner in the beautifully adorned pavilion on the South Lawn of the White House. Marinated millet, grilled corn kernel salad, compressed watermelon, and a zesty avocado sauce will be served as the first dish at the State supper. Orchestra
The President’s Own United States Marine Band Chamber Orchestra performed at
state dinner. The United States Marine Band has participated in the occasions that have molded the country for over 200 years. The Marine Band, America’s oldest continually operating professional music outfit, was founded by a Congress Act in 1798 and made its White House debut on New Year’s Day in 1801.
Its unique main duty is to play music for the Commandant of the Marine Corps and the President of the United States. The Marine Band, now in its third century, keeps on the legacy of excellence that has given it the moniker “The President’s Own.”
