Eric Garcetti, the US ambassador to India, stated on Wednesday in New Delhi that electric buses may revolutionize the globe and usher in a day when the earth would be habitable. To attend a seminar on “accelerating deployment of electric buses in India,” the ambassador rode in an Indian electric bus to this location.

“Riding an electric bus in India was a very thrilling experience for me. Electric buses can alter the world, as we all know. They help us lessen our carbon (footprint), are cleaner and quieter, and ensure that our world will be habitable in the future.

It’s one of the reasons the US government is collaborating with our partners in the Indian government to increase the number of electric buses operating on Indian city streets. Therefore, we have started a project to put 10,000 electric buses on Indian roads,” the man added.

To realize a collaborative vision initially declared during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s formal state visit to the White House, the United States and India have established a system that would enable the deployment of 10,000 made-in-India electric buses in towns all over the nation.

“We witness the effects of the global climate catastrophe every day. The future of our planet and its inhabitants are in danger unless we act quickly. In addition to increasing alternatives for electric public transport in India, the cooperation launched today will generate finance for a fleet of 10,000 electric buses, resulting in cleaner cities and healthier communities, the ambassador stated.

The ambassador rode aboard an electric bus operated by the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC), according to Minister of Transport for Delhi Kailash Gahlot.
