When Rashi Bagga, a BTech student at the International Institute of Information Technology Naya Raipur (IIIT-NR), accepted a job offer earlier this year that included a mind-blowing salary package of Rs 85 lakh annually, she broke prior records.

As a result, in 2023, she will get the largest compensation package ever provided to an IIIT-NR student.

PERSISTENCE AND PREVIOUS PLACEMENTS PAY OFF

Bagga decided not to savor her success since she already had a generous offer from another company. She continued to attend further interviews since she was eager to show her mettle in the job market and eventually succeeded in receiving this record-breaking offer, according to an IIIT media coordinator.

Before achieving this outstanding feat, Bagga worked as a software developer intern at Amazon and an SDE intern at Intuit in Bengaluru. She has been offering her skills to Atlassian as a Product Security Engineer since July 2023.

Chinky Karda, a classmate at IIIT-NR, held the record earlier after receiving a package worth Rs 57 lakh annually from the same organization the previous year.

Yogesh Kumar, a different student, was offered a good salary of Rs 56 lakh annually for a position in software development with a large corporation.
