One of the highest-paid tech businesses, according to reports, is Google, which is supposed to offer its employees hefty compensation. Business Insider has now revealed the pay of Google employees, revealing that in 2022, the employees received a median total remuneration of $279,802, which, when translated to Indian rupees, came to Rs 2.30 crore.
Notably, software engineers at Google will earn a maximum base salary of $718,000 in 2022. The data was obtained from an internal spreadsheet and contains the personal data of over 12,000 US employees. The alleged insider states that Google employees are given access to an internal database that details the company’s compensation structures for various jobs.
Software engineers, business analysts, salesmen, and other positions are on the list. According to the stolen data, up to 10 of Google’s highest-paying engineering, business, and sales employees have base incomes of six figures.
It’s interesting to note that Google’s pay plan goes beyond base salary to include stock options and incentives. In 2022, equity pay for software engineers might reach $1.5 million.
Software Engineer (Rs 5.90 crore), Engineering Manager (Rs 3.28 crore), Enterprise Direct Sales (Rs 3.09 crore), Legal Corporate Counsel (Rs 2.62 crore), Sales Strategy (Rs 2.62 crore), and UX Design (Rs 2.58 crore) are the top 10 highest base salaries at Google across all sectors for 2022. The list also contains Programme Manager (2.46 crore), Research Scientist (2.53 crore), Cloud Sales (2.47 crore), and Government Affairs & Public Policy (2.56 crore).
It is crucial to keep in mind that the data only includes full-time US employees and excludes pay from Alphabet’s other businesses. Additionally, only a small number of persons disclosed information for the statistics since not all employees felt comfortable disclosing their bonus and equity information.
In 2022, Google’s median base pay was somewhat less than Meta ($2,96,320), as compared to other tech behemoths. The Wall Street Journal claimed using data gathered by MyLogIQ and assessed by the company that it greatly outperformed the median base wages at Salesforce ($1,99,130) and Adobe ($1,70,679).
