The bill’s passage, according to Union Minister of Science and Technology Jitendra Singh, will mark a significant period in India’s history and have far-reaching effects.
The status of India in 2047 will be determined by the Anushandhan National Research Foundation. During the discussion for the Upper House’s consideration and passing of the bill, Singh responded that the Anusandhan Bill will enable India to join the elite group of developed nations.
According to higher-ups in the Ministry of Science and Technology who are aware of the specifics, the National Research Foundation (NRF) will act as an umbrella organization for the high-level strategic direction of scientific research within the nation, as suggested by the National Education Policy (NEP), at an estimated total cost of 50,000 crores in five years (2023-28).
