Some people prefer their milk hot or cold, while others prefer it with chocolate added, and still others drink it with a banana to gain weight. Milk can be consumed in a variety of ways, both during the day and at night. Almond milk, cashew milk, and haldi doodh are other terms you may be familiar with. Even though these choices seem healthful and delicious, there are some foods that you should never have with a glass of milk.

  1. Avoid fish and milk

Conversely, fish has a heating effect and milk has a cooling effect. This mixture produces an imbalance that may cause the body’s chemistry to alter. “Never eat fish and all meats with milk, as it could cause digestive issues and even heaviness,” advises Dr. Moon. Thus, exercise caution. If not, you will have to bear the consequences of this serious error.

  1. Steer clear of milk and bananas.

We have been told for ages that milk and bananas are a healthy combination. If you’ve been combining milk and bananas, it’s time to give it up and wait. According to Dr. Moon, “the milk and banana combination is heavy and takes a long time to digest. You will also feel fatigued.” In light of this, each of these two wholesome ingredients can be safely consumed on its own as part of a diet that is both balanced and healthful.

  1. Steer clear of milk and melons.

Melon has diuretic qualities, and milk tends to be a laxative. Combining them may therefore result in toxic accumulation and digestive problems, which may then cause vomiting or loose motions. Thus, stay away from it.

  1. Steer clear of radish and milk.

In general, there aren’t any significant adverse effects from radish or mooli. However, because of its hot nature, it is advised to avoid eating it right before eating anything else as it may cause a burning sensation in the stomach. Since radish and milk are incompatible foods, Ayurveda advises against consuming either after the other. “It’s time to stop eating radish with milk right away,” advises Dr. Moon. You may have difficulties if you do this. Eat radish separately from milk as they can cause digestive issues. Wait at least two hours before drinking milk after consuming anything that contains radish.

“Do not mix citrus or acidic items with milk,” advises Dr. Moon. Not even vitamin C-rich fruits belong in the same meal as milk. Did you understand why? In other words, milk coagulates more easily when consumed with citrus fruits like lemons because it takes longer to digest. This damages your health and encourages heartburn and gas. Moreover, allergies, rashes, coughing, congestion, and colds may result from it.
