A Michelin star is the ultimate achievement for any chef, as they are aware all over the world. A three- or four-star Michelin chef on staff elevates any restaurant’s standing by default. The world’s greatest restaurants are given this award in recognition of their superior skill and cuisine. Getting a Michelin star is a difficult feat because these stars are typically given by unidentified patrons who visit a restaurant to evaluate the quality of the food and service. Reviewers consider a number of things, such as the calibre of the food, but they also take into account the chefs’ performance, consistency, and friendliness. The same family is responsible for this rating’s existence for more than a century.

Chef Khanna came to the United States to follow his childhood dream of becoming a well-known chef. He was born and raised in Amritsar, Punjab. That his first restaurant attempt took place on September 11, 2001, just two miles from the World Trade Centre in New York, was a terrible misfortune. Like many other businesses in the area, he was forced to close for several months, which meant his restaurant would no longer be operating. Just three years later, while he was employed by the nonprofit James Beard House, his culinary prowess started to garner attention. Because of its track record of supporting chefs, this nonprofit was an ideal location for his actual beginnings. In 2016, He launched Spice Route, a smaller eatery.

Mumbai-born Chef Bhatia is a well-known figure in the Indian culinary scene. His professional career started in hotel restaurants in Delhi and Mumbai, as well as restaurants in Kandahar. After that, he relocated to the UK, where he made a name for himself by fusing Indian food with other culinary traditions. He started serving Anglicised versions of Indian dishes that were combined with regional foods and ingredients to modify traditional Indian cuisines because it was thought that Indian food was too spicy for British palates. In the UK, his multani bateyr—a quail stuffed with dried fruits and served in a cream gravy—became well-known. He first established the eatery Zaika in Chelsea in 1999, and then he moved it to Kensington High Street.

In 2017, Chef Arora gained notoriety at the Gaa restaurant in Bangkok. Her initiative to serve traditional Indian food with contemporary international flavours was the driving force behind the endeavour. She is adamant about using regional ingredients to boost the local economy and creates classic Indian dishes with a contemporary twist by utilising time-honored traditional cooking methods. She received a Michelin star in 2018—becoming the first Indian woman to do so—and was named Asia’s Best Female Chef in 2019. One of her odder but signature dishes is unripe jackfruit, which is served alongside many of her meat dishes. After completing her studies at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris in 2010, she worked as a journalist before realising her love for cooking.
