Ticks are bothersome parasites that can afflict you and your animals, and they can even spread serious illnesses like Rocky Mountain spotted fever or Lyme disease.
Here are a few safe and efficient natural home cures to kill ticks, while eliminating them completely or fumiganting your home is still the best approach to prevent tick-borne infections.
Seven natural ways to eradicate ticks
Salt
Ordinary table salt has the ability to destroy tick eggs and larvae by drying them to the point of crumbling. By adding a layer of salt to your floor and furniture at night and vacuuming it the next morning, you may eradicate ticks from your home. Before vacuuming, keep a thick layer of salt on your carpeted floors for at least a week.
Boric acid
Boric acid, sometimes known as borax, is a common component found in supermarkets and is included in various flea powder solutions. You can strew it over your carpets. Because adult ticks exclusively consume blood, boric acid alone can only kill actively feeding larvae (ticks that are residing in carpets or rugs).
Detergent
Any type of dishwashing liquid will kill ticks on your pet. Give your pet a good bath by using a lot more soap than you would normally use. Give your pet fifteen to thirty minutes to soak in the soap. Rinse well, then allow your pet to air dry indoors. Remember that this won’t kill tick eggs or larvae, and it can hurt your pet’s skin.
Eucalyptus oil
Eucalyptus oil has two functions: it repels and kills ticks. On both you and your pet, mist a mixture of four ounces of pure or distilled water and twenty drops of eucalyptus oil.
Bleach
Ticks can be rapidly killed by the potent chemicals found in bleach. Tick the tick off and put it in a tiny bleach container.

Rubbing Alcohol
Alcohol rubs have the permanent effect of killing ticks. After the tick has been extracted, place it in an alcohol-filled cup and secure the lid to keep the tick from escaping.
Water and mow your lawn
Ticks flourish in warm, dry environments, which is why they can be found in thick grasses and wooded regions. Mow the grass outside your house to reduce the number of ticks in your yard that can potentially find a host in you or your pets. Keep your lawn trimmed short and properly hydrated.
