The monument was created in Delhi’s Janpath neighborhood as a war memorial for the 70,000 British Indian Army personnel who died in World War I. Many memorable events, such as candle marches and patriotic occurrences, have occurred here throughout the years, resulting in substantial reforms to the Indian Judicial System and Indian Law.
