How To Reach Palakkayam Thattu?

The nearest town to the hill station in Kannur. Kannur is just 56 kilometres from Palakkayam Thattu. There are two ways you can reach the top of the hill. First and the cheapest way is to trek all the way up to the top. But if you are not an avid trekker, you can also hire a jeep or a taxi to reach the top. Hiring a jeep or taxi will cost you around Rs. 200. You’ll have to walk another 500 metres from the point where the jeep drops you.

The nearest railway station is Kannur Railway station.

Things to keep in mind in Palakkayam Thattu

While the climate in the hill station is generally very favourable for tourists, the place witnesses rainfall throughout the year. However, one should avoid visiting the hill town during the peak monsoon season as the way to the top of the hill might not be suitable to drive on.
