In the center of a remote area of federal property, Utah state workers have found a nearly 12-foot-high metal mysterious monolith, and they have no idea what planet it comes from.
When they saw the mysterious object and landed in the field to check it out, members of the Utah Wildlife Resources Division counted bighorn sheep by helicopter in southeastern Utah, the Utah Department of Public Safety said in a report.
The agency is withholding the location of the find in the red-rock region south of Moab. Its location is so remote that the people would potentially get lost if people visited the site.

The metal framework appeared sometime between August 2015 and October 2016, according to Google Earth’s historical point of view.
No apparent indication of who left the monolith was given. The department poked fun at the possibility that the structure was left behind by aliens.
The crew took several pictures of the site and posed with an object that resembles the giant slab from the 1968 film “2001: A Space Odyssey.” an iconic scene.
The mysterious metal monolith recently discovered in the remote desert of Utah has mysteriously disappeared.
But on Saturday, the Bureau of Land Management said that the mysterious monolith had been removed by an unknown group from public land.
They reported that the structure that is considered private property was not removed and that reports were received that the community had relocated the mysterious monolith on November 27.
The post also claimed that BLM does not prosecute private property offenses that would come under the local sheriff’s office.

Now, atop Pine Mountain in Atascadero, California, a third metal slab has emerged.

Although a leading hypothesis stated by the New York Times suggests that the Utah structure is a work by the US artist John McCracken, both monoliths’ origin and eventual disappearance remain a mystery.
In 2011, McCracken died, or did he?
