There is a belief that the town is blessed by a renowned Buddhist saint Guru Padmasambhava. As per the legends, the rock on which the Guru Padmasambhava sat once still holds its footprints. Besides this, there is a small black hole in the rock that spouts water all as well. The production of the paddy crop in the region is also believed to be a miracle and a blessing by the saint.

TRY LOCAL FOOD

How can one miss the local food in Yumthang Valley? As the traditional Himalayan cuisines of the Himalayas like rice and momos.
