You can get to know about different tribes and their culture by visiting the village. You can also learn the art of crafting from local artists who are very polite and welcoming in nature.
Saputara Lake:
Saputara Lake is undoubtedly the key tourist attraction in the region. Surrounded by lush green gardens and mountains, the view of the lake looks spellbinding from a distance. Boating on Saputara Lake is among the top things that tourists like to do after arriving in Saputara. You can click a lot of pictures for your Instagram feed while here. Hatgadh Fort:
If you have been to Maharashtra, you would know that the forts made during the reign of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj have something special about you. Hatgadh fort was also built by Chhatrapati Shivaji in a remote location amidst the majestic Sahyadri range. Walking up from the ground level to reach the fort is an adventure in itself. The fort is located 5 km away from Saputara lake. You’ll bet a bird-eye view of the entire region from the top of the fort. It is another great spot for clicking great pictures.
Sunset Point:
The best thing about hill stations is that you can peacefully watch the magnificent view of the sunset. This hill station also has a sunset point that is located next to Malegaon. Surrounded by dense green forests and mountains, the sunset point is another major tourist attraction in the region. Gira Falls:
Saputara has forests, mountains, a lake, a fort, a trekking point, and a waterfall. What else do we need to declare it as a perfect weekend getaway? Gira Falls are located in Waghai amidst the Sahyadri range. With a height of nearly 150-feet, the cascading view of water falling from the rocky terrain is enough to steal your heart. There lies a natural pool at the waterfall base, where you can take a dip and relax amid nature. You can also take a hike to the nearby forest to get closer to nature.
Vansda National Park:
Vansda National Park is spread across 24 square kilometers, and it was once a private property of the Maharaja of Vansda. It might be hard to believe, but not a single tree in this forest has been cut since the rule of the Maharaja of Vansda. Some canopies inside the forest are so dense that even light can not pass through them. You’ll need to take a 2-hour drive from Vansda town to reach here. An entree fee of Rs. 20 per head is charged for entering the forest.
