Reliance Retail Ventures, the retail arm of Reliance Industries, is allegedly in discussions to purchase Ed-a-Mamma, the kidswear line owned by star Alia Bhatt, for between $300 and 350 crore. According to a recent source, Reliance Brands and Ed-a-Mamma are in the final stages of negotiations and a deal will probably be reached within the next few days. Regarding Ed-a-Mama
Eternal Creative and Merchandising, where Alia Bhatt serves as a director, is the owner of the Ed-a-Mamma brand. Since its founding in 2020, Ed-a-Mamma has specialized in offering reasonably priced sustainable apparel solutions for kids. Although it sells through certain major retail chains, the kidswear brand sells its products mostly online. Maternity apparel was added to the brand’s product offering last year. Raha Kapoor, Alia’s first child, was born in November 2022.
In the upcoming seven to ten days, Reliance Brands Ltd and Ed-a-Mamma are expected to execute a contract. The CEO had stated that the transaction provides Reliance more clout in the kidswear industry. The report states that the deal will cost between 300 and 350 crore.
Ed-a-Mamma has not yet submitted its financial results for FY23, however in FY22, the firm increased by 4.3X to Rs 16.2 crore. However, throughout that time it reported a loss of Rs 6.6 crore.
According to Morgan Stanley research, Reliance has made investments totaling more than $5.6 billion through its subsidiaries in various Indian industries. Some of its significant stakes in the Indian startup sector include Glance, Dunzo, Fynd, Haptik, Embibe, Addverb Technologies, and Saavn, among others.

Reliance Companies Ltd., which was founded in 2007, purportedly works with more than 50 foreign companies and has more than 2,000 outlets in India. The future projects for Alia Bhatt
The actor has been quite busy promoting Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, which will be released soon. She will appear in the Karan Johar-directed film, which will hit theatres on July 28, 2023, with co-star Ranveer Singh from Gully Boy.
Additionally, Alia will soon make her Hollywood debut in the movie Heart of Stone, which also stars Jamie Dornan and Gal Gadot.
