It made 8.75 crore less on the second day. On Friday, the film’s box office revenue climbed slightly to 9.15 crore. However, the film had a major boost over the weekend, grossing 16 crore on Saturday.

As reported by Bloomberg, the seventh installment of the action-packed franchise generated $56.2 million in the opening weekend in the United States and Canada. This contrasts with forecasts of $61 million to $75 million in ticket sales from forecaster Boxoffice Pro for the Friday through Sunday timeframe, according to the report.

Over five days following its July 12 release, the movie made $80 million. Paramount Pictures, the film’s distributor, had predicted $90 million for that time.

Previous Mission: Impossible films grossed between $44.9 million to $78.8 million in the initial five days, according to Comscore Inc. data. Worldwide sales reached $155 million, based on a statement made by the studio on Sunday.
