Mizoram is one of the seven sister states in the northeastern part of India.

Lunglei

Lunglei will change your perspective about the villages. It is a small village away from the city’s pollution and the hustle and bustle. Mamit

If your love for forests and wildlife has attracted you towards Mizoram, Mamit is the place to head to. It is one of the prime tourist temptations in the state. The Dampa Wildlife sanctuary in Mamit is one of the best places to visit in the district. Mamit is located near the Bangladesh border, and you can actually see the landmass across the border from the district. The majestic Sajek River divides Mamit and Bangladesh.

 

Reiek

For someone who loves to find his/her way through the challenging and steep hikes of gigantic mountains, Reiek must be on your travel list. Located just 29 km away from Aizawl, Reiek is one of the state’s most popular tourist attractions. Standing tall at an altitude of 1465 meters, the peak offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the village and the nearby areas. Not only the nearby towns, but you can also actually get an idea of Bangladesh from the top of the mountain. 

 

Kolasib

Kolasib district in Mizoram is mainly famous for River Tlawng that gets its charm from extremely clear water and the serene Tamdil Lake. It is a perfect laidback tourist destination nestled amid lush green hills that guard the village and add to the region’s scenic beauty. The semi-evergreen forest is home to a very rich variety of flora and fauna. The national park houses nearly 15 mammal species, 150 bird species, and hundreds of diverse plant species.
