What exactly is the law of attraction?
To refresh your memory, the law of attraction states that like attracts like, and hence you attract whatever you focus on (both positive and negative).
“When we focus on what we want against what we don’t want, it will show up in our lives,” spiritual author Shannon Kaiser previously told mbg, adding, “We are all like magnets, both reflecting and attracting what we hold in our mind.”
Understanding that thoughts take action to become reality is one of the secrets to dealing with the law of attraction. You cannot merely express a wish and then do nothing; instead, you must take meaningful steps toward your goal. (This entails living by that aim through your actions.)
And when you keep those goals, positive ideas, and images in mind, you’re a lot more likely to follow through on them.
For additional detail, see our guide to the law of attraction—but if it all sounds a little difficult, the 13 books listed below should help.
