February 2020 to February 2021 was a tough period for India and the rest of the world. From people losing jobs to family members, from businesses shutting down to sports events getting canceled, and from health infrastructures getting ruptured to governments getting overwhelmed by the caseload, it was a year of failures, loss of hopes, sorrow, and restrictions. But just like any other coin, this coin too had two different sides. One of the biggest positives of the pandemic and lockdown in different parts of the world was that people got a lot of time to spend with their families and loved ones.
Some learned cooking, some worked on their skills, while some went on an isolated vacation. All of us were inspired by celebrities posting videos of doing their daily chores like ordinary people, which was a great reality check for society. Whether it was the click of Katarina washing the dishes or Raina cooking a meal, we all got to know that our ideal celebrities are just like us. Some also got married during the lockdown. Hardik Pandya has evolved as a mature and cool-headed cricketer from an angry young man who didn’t think twice before speaking something. Hardik’s maturity in the past 1 year has a lot to do with his personal life. Hardik got married to his Serbian girlfriend, Natasa Stankovic, in May 2020. A couple of months after the couple got hitched, they welcomed their first baby Agastya on July 30.
Virat Kohli-Anushka Sharma:
India’s favorite couple was all over the headlines after they welcomed their first child on January 11. Fans waited several days before getting a glimpse of the baby girl of the power couple. Kohli changed his Twitter bio to “A proud husband and father” next, welcoming his baby girl. Unlike their marriage, the couple didn’t allow paparazzi to surround them during their child’s birth. This certainly was one of the most anticipated births of the year.
Ekta Kaul and Sumeet Vyas:
The chocolate boy of TVF and our favorite TV actress Ekta Kaul also became parents during the pandemic. The couple greeted their baby boy on June 4, 2020. The couple named the baby Ved to compliment the surname Ved Vyas. Social media erupted in joy and was flooded with congratulatory messages after the couple announced the arrival of Ved. We wish happy parenthood to ‘Mikesh.’
Shilpa Shetty-Raj Kundra:
Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra became parents for the second time. While the actress was already a mother to her son Viaan, she welcomed her daughter Samisha through surrogacy. “Viaan-Raj & Samisha celebrating their first Bhai Dooj Hearts full of gratitude because my little boy’s dream for a li’l sister has come true,” Shilpa wrote on Instagram while sharing a clip of her children and herself after welcoming Samisha.
Suresh Raina-Priyanka Raina Chaudhary:
Former India cricketer Suresh Raina and his wife Priyanka Raina became parents for the second time during the pandemic. The cute couple was blessed with a baby boy on March 23. This was almost 4 years after the couple welcomed their first child, Gracia Raina, in 2016. The couple shared several cute videos of Gracia and her younger brother on social media. While several stars congratulated the couple on their second child’s birth, the best wish came from the official Twitter handle of CSK. “Kutti Thalia is here,” CSK tweeted.
Kareena Kapoor-Saif Ali Khan:
Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan also welcomed their second child during the pandemic. The Bollywood actors welcomed their second child, a baby boy, on February 21 in Breach Candy Hospital. Saif Also shared a picture of Kareena and the baby from the hospital. The actors are already parents to the most popular celebrity kid Taimur. Saif had two children from his earlier marriage– Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan.
Lisa Haydon-Dino Lalvani:
Lisa Haydon and Dino Lalvani embraced their second child, a baby boy, in February 2020. This was three years after the couple welcomed their first child. The actress and model expect her third child, who is expected to take birth in June 2021. Lisa and Dino got married in 2016, the same year they welcomed their first child. Lisa posted several pictures on Instagram while flaunting the baby bump. “This little blessing has touched my heart in a way nothing else ever has. Been totally speechless and in love watching you both and can’t believe I get to be your mama. “Leo & Zack,” Lisa wrote on Instagram after welcoming the second child.
