India has emerged from a period of pervasive superstition in which anything improbable was still believed. Indians are no longer constrained by the concept of accepting something merely for the sake of accepting it or because they can’t challenge it with facts and statistics. Tanjore’s Brihadeeswara Temple
While Tamil Nadu has numerous towering and beautiful temples, what makes this temple so intriguing is its architectural secrets, which continue to perplex people. The ‘Big Temple‘ in Thanjavur is a world-renowned architectural masterpiece and one of India’s 36 World Heritage Sites. The granite building is famous for possessing one of India’s highest gopurams, with an 81-tonne monolithic Shikhara placed at the height of 66 meters at the top.
While architecture and science have evolved over ages to build much bigger marvels, this temple element still confuses specialists in the context of its era of creation, which dates back more than 1,000 years. Questions regarding how the heavy and gigantic Shikhara was placed at such a height and how such massive volumes of granite were transported to the location with no known quarries nearby remain unsolved. According to some sources, the tower is built so that it does not throw a shadow at midday on any day of the year!

Andaman and Nicobar Sentinelese
North Sentinel Island, located in the Indian archipelago of Andaman and Nicobar, is home to what is commonly regarded as the world’s most isolated community. While there are several uncontacted peoples throughout the world, what distinguishes the Sentinelese is that, unlike most other tribes, they remain uncontacted not because of geographical isolation but rather because they actively reject contact and even use violence against those who attempt to establish it.
According to a current study, the Sentinelese language and culture exhibit no similarity to others in the area, implying that they may have gone thousands of years without interaction with the outside world.

This isolated hamlet in the state of Assam is home to one of nature’s most perplexing occurrences. Every year, towards the conclusion of the monsoon season, birds of various kinds, including the tiger bittern, tiny egret, and pond heron, appear to ‘commit suicide’ by striking bamboo poles in the region.
While birds are typically excellent navigators, this occurrence came to the world’s attention in the 1960s following many trips. There are several theories as to why this occurs, including disorientation and fog buildup. Experts have yet to come up with a more specific answer.
Bhimbisara’s secret treasure is Son Bhandar.
Son Bhandar Caves, a pair of rock-cut buildings at the foot of the Vaibhar Hills, are an outstanding site representative of India’s old civilization that is well worth a visit. Several Hindu and Jain monks are believed to have lived here and pondered. The most intriguing element of this cave, though, is its rumor of hidden wealth.
According to legend, the western cave housed the treasure of Mauryan King Bimbisara, who ruled in the 6th century BC from Rajgir. According to legend, Bimbisara buried his great wealth here to safeguard it from his son, who stole his kingdom – and the gold has remained here for almost 2,000 years. The British, enthralled by the mythology, supposedly attempted to cannonball their way inside the cave but only managed to leave a damaged relief on its interior, which is still visible.
Sonic Boom in Jodhpur
On December 18, 2012, around 11:25 a.m., residents of Jodhpur, India, were startled by a thunderous boom that erupted out of nowhere in the sky. The sound was similar to that produced by a jet plane flying at the speed of sound. This is known as a sonic boom, but the problem with the Jodhpur sound boom was that it was considerably noisier and deeper than a sonic boom.
It was established that no planes had passed over Jodhpur and that no explosions had occurred in the surrounding region.
According to the Indian Air Force, the sound was not produced due to testing or aircraft.
According to them, sonic booms are always tested at least 60 kilometers outside of town, where there is no population.
Why is it still a mystery?
There is no explanation for this sonic boom.
This surge was happening all across the world, including the United States and the United Kingdom. Geologists claimed that the seismic measurements during the booms were unlike anything they’d ever seen.
So, what prompted these price increases? This question will not be answered anytime soon, and we can only hope that we will learn the reason and source eventually.
In Nathula Pass, a ghost soldier is on duty.
An Indian soldier who died at Nathula Pass in eastern Sikkim is the savior of all army soldiers stationed in the region. Baba Harbhajan Singh is regarded as the “Hero of Nathula” for his assistance to army soldiers in this hostile high altitude region of the Himalayas. It has become a legend among the army personnel there, and a shrine has been constructed in his honor.
Harbhajan Singh was born in Punjab in 1941 and entered the Indian Army in 1956, serving with the 14 Rajput Regiment. In 1967, he was killed when he slid in a glacier while escorting a herd of mules transporting supplies at Nathu-La pass.
Even though his corpse was discovered three days later and cremated with National honors, the people of Nathu-La Pass are still unable to accept that he is no longer alive! The reason for this is that he is said to wake up troops on duty at this point and send them an alarm message about impending enemy attacks! Following his death, he appeared in the dreams of a soldier and begged him to build a shrine in his honor. As a result, the Nathu-La Pass now features a shrine dedicated to Baba Harbhajan Singh.
Stories of Harbhajan Singh waking up soldiers in the middle of the night and giving them orders to patrol the border is prevalent among troops in this region.
Why is it still a mystery?
Interestingly, even the professional Indian Army has acknowledged that Baba Harbhajan Singh is still alive. He was awarded continuous promotions until he retired with the rank of Honorary Captain.
Until his retirement, every year on September 11, a train carrying ‘his’ things would depart for his hometown, escorted by fellow troops, and arrive at the idea that he was going on holiday. During the flag meeting, even the Chinese forces paid their respects to Baba Harbhajan Singh! People in the region regard him as a Holy Saint, and Indian troops refer to him as ‘Baba.’
