2. Terminator 2: Judgement Day – If you weren’t expecting an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie on the list, your love for action movies is probably a new find. Arnold and Sylvester have ruled the action genre for a long time and they have given several iconic movies to their fans. It was in 1991 when Schwarzenegger transformed into an action star with his masterclass performance in the movie that comprises mind-blowing action scenes enhanced by special effects. In the film, a future terminator is sent back in time to kill John. It is found that John and the rest of humanity can be saved only by a terminator.

3. Mad Max: Fury Road: An ancient story portrayed with a modern approach, Fury Road has some very gripping scenes. Tom Hardy is playing Max Rockatansky, who travels through a post-apocalyptic desert wasteland with an AWOL war captain, played by Charlize Theron. The two hatches a plan to evade cult leader Immortan Joe but the path they need to follow is no ordinary. It is the story of tyrannical Immortan Joe who has made apocalypse survivors his slaves. Action on the desert makes it look even bloodier and scarier.

4. Never Back Down 2: The Beatdown: The second volume of a three-volume series, Never Back Down 2 is filled with modern-day action, calisthenic moves, bare-fist fighting, and no rule beatdown. Michael Jai White is playing Case, a legendary ex-UFC champion who is broke and living on a truck that he uses as a makeshift apartment. The case is a tough nut to crack and doesn’t teach fighting skills for cash. But ex-boxer Zack (Alex Meraz), talented MMA fighter Tim (Todd Duffee), bullied record store clerk Justin (Scott Epstein), and wrestler Mike (Dean Geyer) toil hard to please Case, and finally, they are a team. The case teaches them extraordinary street fighting skills. It was the movie in which Case immortalizes the iconic typewriter pull-ups -a goto exercise for calisthenic practitioners.

5. Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation: We can’t miss Tom Cruise while compiling a list of action movies. Rogue Nation is the fifth edition of the MI series and like every other edition, Tom Cruise excels while playing agent Ethan Hunt. Ethan and his team are up against an international rogue organization called Syndicate which is as highly skilled as they are and committed to destroying the IMF. There are moments in the movie where your heart can come to your mouth looking at Ethan Hunt pulling out jaw-dropping experiences. From jumping off a speeding superbike to hanging on a jet on-air, Cruise has proved that he is an action star par excellence. In this movie, Ethan Hunt partners with Ilsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson), a disavowed British agent to prevent the world from falling into the hands of the Syndicate who intend to create a new world order.
