Ajith Kumar (Thala) is a Tamil cinema actor and car racer born in Hyderabad as the middle child to a Tamil father and a Sindhi mother. He has appeared in numerous Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi films. He does, however, have deep ties to Tamil culture and society, having grown up in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
In 1999, Ajith began dating his Amarkalam co-star Shalini. They married in Chennai in 2000. Anoushka Kumar, the couple’s first child, was born on January 3, 2008. Their second child, a son, was born on March 2, 2015. Ajith is an avid car racer who has competed in various events, including the Formula 2 Championship, the 2003 Formula Asia BMW Championship, and other races abroad.
Ajith began his cinematic career at the age of 21 in the Telugu film Prema Pustagam in 1992. Ajith played Shahrukh Khan’s brother in the commercially unsuccessful historical film Asoka in 2001. Ajith was named one of Forbes India’s Top 100 Celebrities in 2014.

1. Citizen
For the first time in his career, Ajith Kumar appeared in ten distinct outfits in this film. The actor admitted that it was a difficult undertaking. He was also inspired by several Kamal Hassan films. The film has its riveting moments and has received positive reviews from critics. Citizen, directed by Saravana Subbaiah, is a social drama that tells the heartbreaking story of an entire hamlet being broken by the avarice of power-hungry government officials.

2. Billa
In Billa, Ajith plays two very different characters, a Don and a small-time crook, and he pulls it off with casual ease. It’s a sophisticated and spicy thriller with plenty of suspense. These brothers did not marry since their elder brother Vinayagam did not marry. Siva directs, and Vijaya Productions produces this Tamil action masala film. The major actors are Ajith Kumar and Tamannaah, with an outfit supporting cast that includes Vidharth, Santhanam, Suza Kumar, and Abhinaya.
5. Vedhalam
In several tear-jerking scenes, Ajith’s performance in this film shines out. The transformation scene, fueled by the fantastic ‘Theri; theme, blew up the entire theatre. Aramabam, a critically acclaimed action film, was shot in Mumbai’s outskirts! Arambam is a great thriller with several edge-of-your-seat moments, set against the backdrop of the 26/11 attacks. 8. Aasai
Ajith was not considered a bankable hero until Aasai, despite his debut as a lead in 1993 with Amaravathi. In reality, between these two films, he appeared in films such as Paasamalargal, Pavithra, and Rajavin Parvaiyile (alongside Vijay) in supporting roles. However, as the lovable, educated, and quick-tempered Jeeva in Aasai, Ajith surpassed Arvind Swami as the girl’s heartthrob.

While Aasai made Ajith a household name, his co-star Prakash Raj, who played the adversary, shared credit for the film’s success.
