To explain the importance of Unity in a better and simplified way. I’d like to take an example from the super-hot, action paced, odds-defying movie “300”. The Movie was about Leonidas, the Warrior King of Sparta(Greek City), and his band of 300 strong spartan soldiers who took up arms against the God-King of Persia, Xerxes. The story is a great example of why Unity is so important. Leonidas and his men were usually outnumbered against the vast Persian army, but they never faltered instead they always moved forward and defeated any enemy that came their way, with the help of advanced tactics like the ‘Phalanx’, Teamwork, and most importantly Unity. Leonidas might have even won against the Persians, but there was a break in their bond(Ephialtes). That break eventually led to the death of Leonidas and his 300 brave soldiers.

Today, in a world where competitiveness is getting more fierce, we live in a world where everyone is part of a race. In the news, there is no lack of elements that depict individuals stabbing their peers in the back to get ahead in the race, and to minimize competition, metaphorically and sometimes literally. Of course, it has never been easy to succeed, and now, in the face of all competition, success feels like an especially high branched fruit to hit. We see absolutely no one standing together, as a result. And, subsequently, the basic matter of standing together appears to have been overlooked. However, it is incredibly important to bear in mind that the mantras of a good life and career are unity and cooperation.

In an organization, unity is very Crucial. If any employee in the workplace is not united by the mutual purpose of enhancing the organization’s status and business, it will be very unlikely for the organization to be successful. They need to set their shared discords aside and join hands to accomplish the common dream as everyone works for the common goal. It is understood and acknowledged that people will have conflicts of opinion, but it is much better to settle those disagreements as they occur and instead come to a consensus as long as the purpose is a shared one. This makes the organization more effective and more successful.

Each player must act as a team in an organized sport like baseball, volleyball, or soccer. If each team member is just focused on doing their best and one-upping the other team members, they will be busy competing against each other and never be able to perform together as a whole team. Although healthy completion is required and welcome, when it is meant to function as a whole, it can never turn to professional competition within a team. There is no ‘I’ in the team, as the famous saying goes, and a team that succeeds well is one in which all the participants are committed to achieving a common goal. Teamwork and unity are significant, even politically speaking. Only when each political leader is unified in their determination to make the world a better place, will lead to the birth of a prosperous and noble nation.

The old saying goes: ‘United We Stand, Divided We Fall.’ Today, more than ever, this saying is true and an edict that must be implemented very positively. Mankind needs to stand together as one and fight against the evils that threaten to disintegrate its values in challenging times such as these. In every sphere of our lives, we will come across hardship, and there is no telling when we will come face to face with a human who has nothing but hatred for us in their hearts. It’s cool to suggest and think that we are capable of coping with many problems on our own, and we may very well be able to do so, but if we’re united with a friend or our family, it’s going to be a lot easier. It is only by the force of unity that we can fend off our attackers.

Let’s take one illustration from the world of animals. Even lions hunt in packs; the lion is the leader of a pack of females who participate in hunting to protect the pride(group). If the Lion Hunted alone, it would be very difficult for it to procure food and at the same time protect itself from getting attacked by other animals. Thus we need to understand how important Unity is.
