The movie stars the very famous Nandamuri Balakrishna that too is in a dual role with the stunning Pragya Jaiswal, very talented Jagapathi Babu, and Srikanth.
The movie has already got released on 2nd December of this year. Fans who were eagerly waiting for Akhanda to release are in great excitement to give this movie a watch. But before you go for it, let’s give you a little glimpse of the movie that is worth watching or not to save your time!
AKHANDA- A REVIEW
Akhanda is a movie that is really sensible and deeply thoughtful about how some unscrupulous people exploit the religious beliefs of other people for petty gains. And we know well that when Boyapati Srinu and Nandamuri Balakrishna the cinematic magic creates and so is the case with Akhanda too and hence it has so much of expectations from the audience. The director seems to be well aware of the fanbase of his star as when his movies arrive at theatres, it echoes with a chant of ‘Jai Baayya’ and hence this can probably be the reason for this collaboration.
However, keeping this in mind, the director has assigned one of the best roles to Balakrishna, that is of a demi-god, someone who has superhuman powers. And the other character that has been paid by Balakrishna is a guy named Murali Krishna, a Good Samaritan who has been instrumental in stopping faction strife and is admired by everyone.
The whole 167 minutes of Akhanda takes you to the world larger than life and the movie begins and ends with the action sequences that are carefully and beautifully crafted with so many slow-motion shots that are designed to be lapped up in between the loud cheers. Balakrishna is seen giving us some of the best and exemplary action scenes, such as he is seen walking in between two large wheels and after on the tyres that are rolling away.
So many times he can be seen thrusting a Trishul into someone and turning it around for a couple of times so that we can get the idea that evil doesn’t get away easily. Overall, as it is an action movie hence some scenes are packed with actions from time to time to keep you stuck to your seats.
Akhanda is the story of a twin separated at birth and a uranium miner who exploits the land and its people to the hilt. Doesn’t this seem like a common storyline but the director has given it another aspect and has thrown it in a good measure of spirituality, religion, godmen, and good vs. evil? The narrative of the movie unfolds in a very familiar pattern that depicts the food deeds of the hero. Also, there is room for romance in the movie. Pragya Jaiswal, as Saranya Bachupalli has been depicted as the love interest and later as the wife and young mother than just a civil servant.

Enough screen time has been given to her. But the age difference between the couple is something that is glaring. Poorna playing the role of a principal secretary Prrabhavathi is probing the scandal of mining and has a better scope to portray a no-nonsense official of the government.
There are several barbaric moments in the movie that has set the stage for the arrival of ‘Akhanda’ to save well from evil. However, in the movie, drama goes on. Also, the movie has some great punchlines such as “Meeku samasya vaste dandam pedataru, memu aa samasyake pindam pedatam”. The whole team of Akhanda doesn’t seem to get tired of the action sequences. It appears that Boyapati and Balakrishna both have enjoyed a lot in the process of making the film. Srikanth has been introduced as a strong and powerful antagonist in the movie, Akhanda, but he eventually comes across as a regular common villain.
There are so many other characters too in the movie that fill the screen but there is nothing to mention about them as their presence or absence doesn’t matter much in the movie.
However, the first half of the movie seems interesting and you will enjoy it a lot, but after the intermission, the movie becomes dull and tiring. Even the high voltage background noise doesn’t help in this case. So, if you are a fan of Balakrishna or an action lover, then this movie is for you to go and give it a watch!
