While several new movies were released on OTT platforms, there are hardly any top-rated movies released during this period. Much awaited movies like Bhuj got delayed due to the commercials factor. But the long wait is coming to an end with things opening gradually and movie theatres already operating under limited restrictions.

Dhamaka is going to release on July 5, 2021. It is a Bollywood drama directed by Ram Madhvani with Karthik Aryan in lead role. We have all seen Karthik in romantic and light roles but he will be presented in an all new avatar in the movie. He has sported long hair for the first time in his entertainment career for the movie. The movie is a remake of the Korean film Terror Live. Karthik is playing a journalist in the movie whose life changes significantly after covering the live broadcast of the Mumbai terror attack.
Chehre:
The great Big B is set to entertain once again after a brief gap with his epic performance in Rumi Jaffrey’s mystery-thriller Chehre. Apart from Amitabh Bachchan, the movie also stars Emraan Hashmi, Kriti Kharbanda, Rhea Chakraborty, Siddhanth Kapoor, Dritman Chakroborthy and Raahgir Yadav in key roles. Amitabh has played an 80-year-old criminal lawyer in the film. The movie is scheduled to release on July 9.
Shabaash Mithu:
Shabaash Mithu is a biographical sports drama directed by Srijit Mukherji. The movie is based on the life of legendary India women cricketer Mithali Raj. Versatile actress Taapsee is in the lead role in the movie. Taapsee trained hard for the shoot of the film as she was required to master the body language of the legendary India skipper. The much-awaited movie hits the screen on July 9.

Shershaah:
For all the lovers of movies based on the military, August is the month to wait for. Vishnu Vardhan’s biographical drama Shershaah is going to release on August 2, 2021. Starring Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani in the lead roles, the movie is based on the life of the legendary Indian Army Captain Vikram Batra, an officer of the Indian Army. Sher Shah was the codename of Late Captain Batra. “Yeh Dil Maange More” was the dialogue that became immortal after Captain Batra said the same to a media person during the Kargil war.
83:
The multi-starrer movie by Kabir Khan is based on the historic world cup victory of Indian cricket team in 1983 under the captainship of Kapil Dev.
83 is certainly the most-awaited Bollywood film of this year. Ranveer Singh is playing the role of Kapil Dev in the movie. The movie also stars Deepika Padukone and Tahir Raj Bhasin in the lead roles. 83 will hit the theatres on August 4, 2021. This one is going to be a Box Office hit for sure.
The Kashmir Files:
The Kashmir Files is another interesting movie that audiences are waiting eagerly for. Directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, the movie is based on the unfortunate genocide of Kashmiri Hindus, who became refugees in their own country after radical Islamists in the valley thrashed them, killed some of them and captured their houses and properties illegally. The movie stars Mithun Chakraborty and Anupam Khar in lead roles.
Attack:
Attack is the debut direction project for Lakshya Raj Anand. The action-thriller stars John Abraham in the lead role. The movie portrays a rescue by an attack team that is led by John. The fictional story is inspired by true events. Apart from John, the film also stars Rakul Preet Singh and Jacqueline Fernandez. Attack is scheduled to hit the screens on August 13, 2021.
Sardar Udham Singh:
Vicky Kaushal left us all impressed with his intense URI performance and is determined to do it all once again, this time with Shoojit Sircar’s drama film Sardar Udham Singh. The movie is based on the story of Udham Singh who assassinated Michael O’Dwyer in London to take revenge for the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Set in the pre-Independence era, the movie is certainly gonna create new records. It is scheduled to release on August 15.
