YouTube has been an important source of entertainment for decades; with video genres ranging from Music videos to educational videos, there are bound to be people who dislike one or the other type of content. And just because a YouTube video has quite a lot of views or billions of likes, it doesn’t mean it’s safe from gaining dislikes. This is why a few of YouTube’s most famous and well-known viral videos have a large number of dislikes as well.
So, here is a list of the Top 10 most disliked video on YouTube
1)YouTube Rewind 2018 – YouTube
Surprisingly, the site that gave birth to the YouTube video is also the most disliked video on YouTube site. The explanation for the staggering number of dislikes is simple: the video lasts an agonizing eight minutes. Which is an outrageous and completely unnecessary length of time for a film on nasty, cringe-worthy highlights. The video also lacks order, uses outdated memes, unsettling clips, and, ultimately, just too many things happening simultaneously.
The video’s over 207 million dislikes may not be entirely justified. Still, it is an awful experience to watch, which in turn justifies why it’s at the top of the top 10 most disliked video on YouTube.
2)Sadak 2 Trailer – Fox Star Studios
On August 12, 2020, the film trailer for Sadak 2 was released. Ironically, the video only took a week to become the second most disliked video on YouTube, with a total of 13 million dislikes. The overflow of hate for this film trailer arose from the number of individuals disturbed by nepotism in Bollywood in the aftermath of Sushant Singh’s murder with Alia Bhatt. Her father is claimed to have been involved in the crime as the major target. Many Bollywood actors and directors were also boycotted during this period.
Nevertheless, within 24 hours after its release, the film trailer received 4.2 million dislikes on YouTube.
3)Baby – Justin Bieber ft. Ludacris
This video gave birth to a million Beliebers (that’s how Justin Bieber’s fans are known). There have been hundreds of parodies and remixes of Justin’s first hit since its release in 2010. Still, the original music video has over 2 billion views. The strange thing is that we seldom notice a wide gap in a video’s likes and dislikes since most videos eventually agree on their quality. “Baby,” on the other hand, is an anomaly. The margin between those who enjoy it and those who don’t is only about 2 million votes. There are nearly 13 million likes on the video, but there are also 11.94 million dislikes.
After yet another decade of debate, it appears that the public is still confused on whether or not this video is horrible.
4)Baby Shark Dance – Pinkfong! Kids’ Song & Stories
It’s on our list for a reason. Despite the song’s popularity among kids and toddlers, the video has received over 7 million dislikes. There’s no way to know for sure. Still, it is most likely that every dislike originates from a frustrated parent who simply wants to listen to something else other than this song, which was forced unto their ears by their kids.
The Baby Shark Dance video was released in June 2016 and has earned over 5 billion views with 10.79 million dislikes so far.
5)YouTube Rewind 2019: For the Record – YouTube
This film was made in response to the backlash of YouTube’s much-hated YouTube Rewind 2018 video. Although the video is better than its predecessor, it nonetheless made a list since it has received roughly 9 million dislikes since its release. However, this video has far fewer dislikes than past YouTube Rewind Videos. It appears to have a more unified focus this time (video statistics and instances when YouTube videos and creators set records) and being far shorter than the 2018 video. They’ve made good progress.

6)Johny Johny Yes Papa – LooLoo Kids
It is indeed hard to believe that a children’s song with a duration of fewer than 2 minutes could trigger so many negative responses. That is until you realize how many of the billions of views are probably just small children repeating the brief, catchy tune, much to their parent’s dismay. It’s not a bad tune, but it’s repetitious and has simplistic lyrics, as do many children’s songs. A baby tries to take sugar cubes from his father or grandfather when they aren’t looking in the video. The notion is strange, but not enough to get nearly 5 million dislikes, but it still did.
7)Miroshka TV – Learning Colors Multi-Colored Eggs on the Farm
This is not the only children’s video on the list, but it has the longest duration. Miroshka TV’s Learning Colors Multi-Colored Eggs on the Farm is a crudely drawn film that educates young children about colors via cartoon eggs with rather disturbing smiles, clocking in about five minutes and ten seconds. Although the video is narrated in Russian, the music in the background is “Old MacDonald Had a Farm,” which is performed in English.
While the film accomplishes its goal, you will learn the names of a variety of colors. Given the subject matter, it’s a long video. The eggs do strange things like smashing themselves into pieces, combining the shards, and forming gigantic eggs, spawning smaller eggs. It’s quite a lot to handle.
8)Bath Song- Coco Melon – Nursery Rhymes
There are a lot of children’s videos on this list. This video, set to the song Baby Shark (which previously made this list), was published in May 2018 and shows what looks to be two little boys taking a bath together and helping each other get clean. It’s lovely until the music gets stuck in your mind and all you can hear is the ominous ‘Doodoodoodoo.’ This video has garnered over 5.60 million dislikes.
9) Flores — Vitão and Luísa Sonza
Although there’s twerking, this video failed to garner attention. This music video, published in June 2020, has already got almost 5.4 million dislikes while just 2.3 million likes have been received. Maybe it’s because the video is too generic or feels like too much of a parody, but Who knew something that lasted less than three minutes could be so despised?
10)Can this Video get 1 million dislikes? – PewDiePie
Felix Kjellberg, better known as PewDiePie, had his wish granted, as he received the 1 million dislikes he desired for this video. Added to it are 4.14 million dislikes. And it’s not unexpected, given his YouTube following of about 105 million subscribers and the fact that his fans appear to be prepared to go to any length to demonstrate their love for their favorite YouTube star.
He is recognized and liked for being an honest, humble, and hilarious personality. His followers or admirers are known as the ‘Floor Gang.’ Although the main focus of his YouTube channel was just gaming at the initial stages, his channel generates good meme content as well; mostly creating reaction videos to Reddit memes, his fans tagged him in.
That video was first released in December of 2016. It has since received over 20 million views and 5.1 million dislikes, which is why it comes under the top 10 most disliked video on YouTube.
