Prabhas is the undisputed king of Telugu Cinema. One of the highest-paid actors in the country, Prabhas has taken his popularity to the next level with his appearance in movies such as Baahubali. The actor has achieved many remarkable feats in his career, including him featuring in Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list three times since 2015. Prabhas has received several remarkable awards, including the Nandi Award and the SIIMA Award. He made his acting debut with the 2002 Telugu film Eeswar. Prabhas is the first South Indian actor to receive a wax sculpture at Madame Tussaud’s wax museum.
Acting runs in Prabhas’ blood. He is the son of film producer U Suryanarayan Raju. He is the nephew of Telugu actor Krishnam Raju. Prabhas himself is an alumnus of Satyanand Film Institute, Visakhapatnam. It took Prabhas just a couple of years to establish himself as a popular actor in the film industry. Eeswar:
Eeswar was Prabhas’s debut film that was released in 2002. Directed by Jayanth C Paranjee, the action drama features Sridevi Vijaykumar alongside Prabhas. The movie didn’t prove to be a major success for Prabahs, but it helped him set his foot in the industry. Prabhas played the title character in the movie. The movie’s plot revolves around the story of Eeswar, a motherless child living in the slum area of the city. The movie portrays a love angle between Eeswar and Indu (Sridevi Vijayakumar).
Varsham:
Varsham was the first major success for Prabhas. The 2004 romantic action film by Sobhan featured Prabhas as Venkat, an unemployed youngster. Venkat is traveling on a train when he meets Shailaja (Trisha). Venkat and Shailaja develop an attraction towards each other. However, their journey isn’t going to be easy as Shailaja catches the eye of Bhadranna, a dangerous landlord. Venkat and Shailaja continue crossing paths throughout the movie. The movie shows how Venkat defeats Bhadranna to keep the love of his life safe. The movie emerged as the third highest-grossing Telugu film of 2004.

Chatrapathi:
Chatrapathi is certainly among one of the most popular movies featuring Prabhas. It was Prabhas’ first project with legendary filmmaker SS Rajamouli. The film stars Prabhas and Shriya Saran in the lead roles and Shafi, Bhanupriya, and Pradeep Rawat in supporting roles. Prabhas plays the role of Shivaji, who lives on the coast of Sri Lanka along with her stepmother Parvati and brother Ashok. Shivaji somehow lands in Vizag after the families on the coast of Sri Lanka are forced to evacuate.
He is separated from his family, and while searching for his mother, Shivaji comes across Neelu (Shriya). Shivaji is given the title of Chhatrapati after he stands up for other refugees.
Darling:
Darling is a 2010 romantic comedy film by A Karunakaran that stars Prabhas, Kajal Aggarwal, and Prabhu Ganeshan in the lead roles. The commercially successful film is set in the 1980s that features Prabhas as Prabha and Kajal as Nandini. The fathers of Prabha and Nandini are friends. Prabha’s father, Hanumanta Rao, becomes a professional lawyer and settles in India.
In contrast, Nandini and her father Vishwanath travel to Switzerland. Years later, Hanumanta and Vishwanath meet again, and Prabha is hopeful of meeting his lover Nandini again. However, the trouble in paradise starts when Nisha, the daughter of a local don, attempts suicide when Prabha does not accept her love.
Baahubali Series:
Baahubali is the most popular and the most commercially successful movie of Prabhas. The movie was released in two parts- Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. In the two parts, Prabhas features Amarendra Baahubali (father) and Mahendra Baahubali (son). Apart from Prabhas, the movie also features Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannah, Ramya Krishnan, and Sathyaraj. The movie is set in the ancient Indian kingdom of Mahishmati. Baahubali is one of the highest-grossing movies.
The second part of the movie is the second highest-grossing Indian film. Baahubali 2 was the first Indian film ever to gross over Rs. 1,000 crore in just ten days. The movie was released in multiple languages across the country. The film won three National Film Awards. Over 100 million tickets of the movie were sold, making it a box officer superhit.
